Vladimir Putin congratulated Tambov Region residents on the 80th anniversary of their region.
The message reads, in part:
“You can take deserved pride in the contribution made by your outstanding compatriots to the development of the country and Russian science, culture and literature.
“The region has unique potential for enhancing its investment attractiveness, for building up interregional and international ties and for improving the welfare of the people. You are creating modern industrial and transport infrastructure and have prestigious research, educational and cultural establishments. The region also has a developed agriculture and is famous for its farming traditions and a caring attitude to land.
“It is notable that you are taking good care of the region’s rich historical, creative and spiritual heritage, looking confidently forward and contributing to achieving goals of nationwide significance.”
