President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of China Xi Jinping visited the Far East Street exhibition held on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum at Far Eastern Federal University.
The project is designed to demonstrate to the participants and guests of the Eastern Economic Forum the modern economic potential and cultural and national peculiarities of the Far East. Regional exhibits emphasise high-tech projects, including projects of the future.
Apart from the Far Eastern regions, the exhibition has stands of the Federal Agency for Fishery,the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Sport.
Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping were told about the economic opportunities of the Amur Region and projects in space, agriculture, chemistry and infrastructure.
The two presidents also learned about promising economic projects of the Far East, as well as plans for building a zero-waste fish processing plant and an innovative crab boat, to name a few. Young scientists showed the leaders the results of their work in robototronics and software systems.
In the Russian Seafood and the Russian Market pavilion, chefs let Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping put on aprons, make pancakes and then stuff them with the region’s seafood displayed at the exhibition.
