The President approved a list of instructions following his trip to Irkutsk Region on September 2, 2019.
Instructions for the Governmental Commission on relieving the consequences of massive floods in Irkutsk Region, in particular, call for completing inspections of the residential structures damaged in the floods and reviewing the personal records of the people in need of accommodation or major housing repairs, providing varying compensation to the victims of the floods and informing the public of plans to build new protective structures (dams).
The Russian Government has been instructed, when drafting the federal budget for 2020 and for the 2021 and 2022 planning period, to allocate funds to implement projects to restore housing, communications, and social, utilities, energy and transport facilities, as well as water structures and administrative buildings damaged or destroyed in the floods in Irkutsk Region.
Instructions have also been given to the Irkutsk Region Government.
