“It gives me great pleasure to greet you on the opening of the Petrovsky Ball in St Petersburg, which has brought together numerous guests from different Russian regions and other countries in the Great Catherine Palace.

This wonderful and truly beautiful creative project draws us to the outstanding pages of Russian history, to the traditions of the famous assemblies held by Peter the Great. It gives everyone present an excellent opportunity to enjoy magnificent performances of opera, pop, jazz, and choreographic art, as well as the inspiring atmosphere of festive celebrations.

I am sure that this great, extraordinary event will be held at a high level and become one of the most significant, memorable events organised in the year of the 320th anniversary of the founding of the Northern capital.”
