Vladimir Putin visited Vladimir Bulatov School No. 7 in Arkhangelsk.
The school was built in the Mayskaya Gorka territorial district, one of the most dynamically developing areas of the city. The school opened on September 1, 2023; currently there are over 1,150 students studying there and more than 70 teachers working at the school. It was named after Vladimir Bulatov, rector of Pomorye State University in 1986–2007, who made a great contribution to the development of Arkhangelsk as a cultural and educational centre in the Russian Arctic zone.
The President was accompanied by Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Northwestern Federal District Alexander Gutsan and Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky. Director of School No. 7 Ilya Ivankin provided explanations.
The President inspected the school’s swimming pool, canteen, the vocational guidance sections Lesnoy (Forest) and Sudostroitelny (Shipbuilding), and the Russian language and literature room. In addition, Vladimir Putin watched video presentations on the school’s specialised classes and the development of the Mayskaya Gorka territorial district in general.
