Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law introducing amendments to Federal Law On State Regulation of the Organisation and Conduct of Gambling Activities and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
Under the Federal Law, the Rostov Region is excluded from the list of constituent entities of the Russian Federation where gambling zones can be located.
The law also abolishes an earlier provision prohibiting the Russian Government from adopting a decision to liquidate a gambling zone prior to the expiration of ten years from the date of its establishment.
