Dmitry Medvedev approved a list of instructions following an October 22 meeting with senior officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation in Tver.
The Presidential Executive Office, the Cabinet and the Prosecutor General’s Office were instructed to consistently improve the Russian Federation’s criminal procedure legislation.
Specific instructions were issued to the Cabinet, the Ministry of the Interior, the Presidential Executive Office, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Russian Federation’s Investigative Committee concerning professional training of the police officers, improving the structure of the Ministry of the Interior’s regional divisions and optimizing their heads’ responsibilities.
