Instructions following State Council Presidium meeting

The President approved a list of instructions following the State Council Presidium meeting on September 4, 2019.

The President approved the approaches to drawing up the National Programme for the Development of the Far East until 2025 and up to 2035, incorporating the important strategic goals of creating conditions for attracting young people and providing opportunities for them to achieve their potential in the Far East; for setting up centres of global competence and high technologies, development of high-value-added production projects, creating a world-class natural tourism centre and the conservation of the Far East’s unique ecosystems.

The instructions for the Government of the Russian Federation, in particular, include amendments to legislation, additional funding for healthcare, support for agricultural producers and facilities for processing farm products, seismic reinforcement of structures in the Far Eastern Federal District, and compensation for airline costs arising from the increase in the cost of aviation fuel in 2018, mineral exploration and development licences, organising broadband access to the internet for households and socially significant facilities in the Far Eastern Federal District until 2024, including small and hard-to-reach villages, preferences for investors implementing tourism projects in the Far East, including public-private partnerships.

Separate instructions have been given to the governments of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and the Sakhalin and Magadan Regions.
