The President approved a list of instructions following the meeting of the Presidential Council for the Implementation of State Policy on Protecting Family and Children held on July 4, 2019.
The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to include activities aimed at creating a system for bringing up the younger generation while developing the main plan of events for the Decade of Childhood starting in 2021.
The instructions to the Government also concern analysing the results of the implementation in 2016 – 2019 of the Strategy for Developing Education in the Russian Federation until 2025; working out a set of measures aimed at raising the status of a teacher, setting up a state film studio for children’s and youth films, and increasing the accessibility of training at specialised institutions such as Suvorov military schools and cadet schools for children from disadvantaged, low-income and large families.
The Government has been also instructed to organise regular studies of consumer preferences and behavioural patterns of the young audience in the Russian segment of the internet and to create a non-profit coordination centre for the production of content aimed at spiritual and moral education of young people and its distribution on the internet.
Separate instructions have been given to the Government to implement in cooperation with regional government bodies.
