The President approved a list of instructions following a meeting with social workers and representatives of non-profit organisations, held on June 8, 2021.
The instructions to the Presidential Executive Office concern the introduction of amendments to the Statute of the Order of Pirogov and the Provisions on the Luke of Crimea Medal, making it possible to award these state decorations to social protection and social service workers.
The instructions to the Government of the Russian Federation include assistance to the Association of Volunteer Centres and the Memory of Generations Charity Foundation in creating regional centres of volunteer activity for pensioners and people nearing pension age, and the introduction in 2022 of a system for long-term care for the elderly and people with disabilities in all regions of the Russian Federation.
The plenipotentiary presidential envoys to the federal districts, in cooperation with regional executive government bodies, have been instructed to transfer state- or region-owned premises to the Russian Red Cross Society national public organisation and its affiliates for long-term, no-cost use in their activities.
