Vladimir Putin congratulated Russia’s social workers on their professional holiday.
The message reads, in part:
“True professionals – teachers and psychologists, doctors and lawyers and others – are employed in Russia’s social protection sphere. The quality of the people’s lives, establishment of principles of justice and humanism in society largely depend on your competence and commitment, as well as dedication to your chosen work.
It is very important that non-profit organisations, business structures, religious organisations, charitable foundations and volunteers have joined state and municipal institutions in the past few years to carry out a mission of social service.
Let me stress that one of our common and key tasks is to render efficient and comprehensive aid to participants and veterans of the special military operation, their families and friends. And, of course, to steadily increase the quality and availability of social services, to use know-how and best regional practices more actively, including in such sensitive areas as support of families, disabled individuals and children who have found themselves in difficult straits.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your dedication, highly demanded and sought-after work, spiritual generosity and responsiveness.”
