Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Agreement on the CSTO member states cooperation in transportation of military and other personnel, their personal chattel, as well as military goods, signed in Dushanbe on September 15, 2015.
The Agreement will allow for rapid redeployment of the CSTO forces and equipment to the areas of its responsibility in order to curb challenges and threats, for the delivery of military goods to Russian military bases abroad to ensure their operation and combat readiness, as well as the delivery of military goods for equipping the Armed Forces of Russia’s CSTO allies.
Agreement is valid throughout the term of the Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992.
