August 12, 2022

Vladimir Putin signed the Executive Order On Introducing Amendments to Executive Order No 209 of April 18, 2022 On Additional Social Guarantees to the Military Personnel of the Border Agencies of the Federal Security Service and their Family Members.

The document approves guidelines for calculating the length of service for issuing pension bonuses to the military personnel of the border agencies of the Federal Security Service who are (were) directly involved in performing tasks related to protecting the state border of Russia in sections adjacent to areas where the special military operation is being conducted in the DPR, LPR and Ukraine.

For this category of military personnel, one day of performing tasks related to protecting the state border shall be counted as two; and a month of continuous treatment in a medical institution in the event of disability during service shall be counted as two months.

The terms for counting these bonus periods toward the service record for the purpose of issuing pension bonuses shall be determined by the Director of the Federal Security Service.

The executive order applies to the legal relations that took effect on February 24, 2022.
