Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Awarding the Honorary Name Guards to the 266th Separate Assault Aviation Regiment.
For mass heroism and valour, fortitude and courage demonstrated by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary name Guards to the 266th Separate Assault Aviation Regiment. From now on it shall be referred to as the 266th Separate Guards Assault Aviation Regiment.
