Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Awarding the Honorary Name Guards to the 960th Assault Aviation Regiment.
For mass heroism and valour, fortitude and courage displayed by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary name Guards to the 960th Bomber Aviation Regiment. From now on it shall be referred to as the 960th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment.
