For the mass heroism and valour, fortitude and courage displayed by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary title of Guards to the 16th Army Aviation Brigade. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 16th Guards Army Aviation Brigade.
