Vladimir Putin signed an Executive Order on amending Presidential Executive Order No 690 of September 30, 2022 on granting Russian citizenship to foreigners and stateless persons that signed contracts on military service in a simplified process.
In accordance with the introduced amendments, foreign citizens will be able to receive Russian citizenship in a simplified procedure if during the period of the special military operation they sign one-year contracts for military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation or military units. The same rule applies to members of their families (spouses, children, including adopted children and their parents).
