The President signed Executive Order On Awarding an Honorary Designation to the 61st Air Defence Missile Brigade.
For mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 61st Air Defence Missile Brigade. From now on, it shall be called the 61st Guards Air Defence Missile Brigade.
