The President congratulated the command and personnel of the 61st Air Defence Missile Brigade on receiving the honorary Guards designation.
The message reads, in part:
“This designation is a great honour and recognition of your special achievements, mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery demonstrated while protecting the Fatherland and Russia’s state interests.
The brigade personnel’s skilful and resolute actions during the special military operation have been an example of performing military duty, of courage, selflessness and extraordinary professionalism.
I am convinced that you, as members of a guards brigade, will remain loyal to your oath, honourably serve your Motherland and protect the peace and security of our citizens.”
