For mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery shown by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 39^th Separate Helicopter Regiment. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 39^th Guards Separate Helicopter Regiment.
