The President signed Executive Order On Awarding an Honorary Designation to the 39th Separate Red Banner Motor Rifle Brigade.
For mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 39th Separate Red Banner Motor Rifle Brigade. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 39th Separate Red Banner Guards Motor Rifle Brigade.
