Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Awarding the Honorary Title to the 159th Fighter Aviation Regiment.
For mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery shown by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 159th Fighter Aviation Regiment. From now on it shall be referred to as the 159th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment.
