Vladimir Putin congratulated the high command and staff of the 4th Order of the Red Banner Air Force and Air Defence Army on their being awarded the honorary title, Guards.
The message reads, in part:
“This is a great honour in recognition of your special merits, mass heroism and valour, fortitude and courage shown while defending the Fatherland and Russia’s state interests.
The army personnel’s skilful and resolute actions during the special military operation are an example of fulfilling your military duty, bravery, selfless service and high professionalism.
I am confident that you, Guards soldiers, will remain loyal to your Oath, continue to serve your Motherland with honour, reliably ensuring the safety and peaceful life of our citizens.”
