The President signed Executive Order On Awarding an Honorary Designation to the 49th Air Defence Missile Brigade.
For mass heroism and bravery, fortitude and courage shown by the brigade personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 49th Air Defence Missile Brigade. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 49th Guards Air Defence Missile Brigade.
