Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Awarding an Honorary Designation to the 177th Separate Naval Infantry Regiment.
For mass heroism and bravery, fortitude and courage shown by the regiment personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 177th Separate Naval Infantry Regiment. From now on, the regiment shall be referred to as the 177th Separate Guards Naval Infantry Regiment.
