For wide-scale heroism and courage, resilience and bravery displayed by the regiment’s personnel in combat duties to protect the Fatherland and state interests during military conflicts, the President granted the 1429^th Motorised Rifle Regiment the honourable title of a Guards Regiment. From now on, the regiment shall be called the 1429^th Guards Motorised Rifle Regiment.
