The President approved a list of instructions following a meeting with families of service personnel who died in the special military operation, held on January 7, 2024.
The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to amend legislation on providing benefits to families of service personnel who have been posthumously awarded the title of Heroes of the Russian Federation and making specified payments to families of deceased participants in the special military operation. Additionally, instructions to the Government concern the procedure for granting the status of combat veteran to individuals who took part in the special military operation.
The Defence Ministry was instructed to analyse SOGAZ payments to the families of deceased participants in the special military operation.
Executive agencies of the Russian Federation constituent entities received certain recommendations concerning regional payments to the families of deceased participants in the special military operation.
