The President signed Executive Order On Conferring an Honorary Designation on the 440th Separate Helicopter Regiment.
For mass heroism, courage, fortitude and bravery displayed by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations defending the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President conferred the honorary designation of Guards on the 440th Separate Helicopter Regiment, which will henceforth be called the 440th Separate Guards Helicopter Regiment.
