Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Awarding an Honorary Designation to the 8th Combined Arms Army.
For mass heroism and bravery, courage and fortitude displayed by the army personnel in combat operations to defend the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 8th Combined Arms Army, which shall henceforth be referred to as the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army.
