The President signed Executive Order On Conferring the Honorary Guards Designation on the 39th Engineer Regiment.
For mass heroism and courage, tenacity and bravery shown by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to defend the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 39th Engineer Regiment. From now onward, it shall be referred to as the 39th Guards Engineer Regiment.
