Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order On Conferring Special Senior Ranks to the Russian Federation Interior Ministry Officers and Appointments of the Russian Federation Interior Ministry Officers.
In particular, the following appointments were made:
Police Colonel Apty Alaudinov has been appointed deputy Interior Minister for the Republic of Chechnya and Chief of Police;
Police Major General Viktor Pogolov has been appointed head of the Kirov Region Interior Ministry;
Police Major General Alexander Trofimov has been appointed Interior Minister for the Republic of Ingushetia.
