Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation Following the Introduction of Rotation for Civil Service Officials.
The Federal Law has been prepared as part of the National Anti-Corruption Plan for 2010–2011.
The law introduces procedures and mechanism for rotation of civil service officials. Federal civil service rotations will be mandatory for heads of territorial bodies of federal executive authorities performing monitoring or supervisory functions.
The implementation of the Federal Law will require extra funding allocated from the federal budget, therefore, the law will become effective from January 1, 2013.
