Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions on state policy on Cossacks.
Instructions to the presidential plenipotentiary envoys to the federal districts concern implementation in the regions of the Strategy for Developing Russian Federation State Policy on Russia’s Cossacks through to 2020, and analysis of the results of the strategy’s implementation by regional and local authorities.
The Presidential Council for Cossack Affairs has been instructed to examine improvement of the way Cossack affairs are organised at the state level.
The regional authorities have been recommended to work jointly with the local authorities and Cossack associations on the state register of Russian Cossack associations to draft and approve an action plan for implementing the Strategy for Developing Russian Federation State Policy on Russia’s Cossacks through to 2020.
