The President submitted to the State Duma the draft Federal Law On Amendments to Article 19 of the Federal Law On the General Principles of Organisation of Legislative (Representative) and Executive Bodies of State Power of the Constituent Entities of the Russian Federation.
The draft federal law has been submitted to the State Duma in keeping with Article 84 (d) of the Constitution.
Under current legislation, heads of Russian constituent entities are required to submit income and property declarations and information about property-related obligations. The draft federal law would also make it obligatory for acting top officials of the Russian constituent entities to disclose such information.
This information is to be posted on the official websites of the constituent entities’ governments and forwarded to Russian federal media outlets for publication at their request.
