Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Aman Tuleyev, who submitted a request for the early termination of his authority as Governor of Kemerovo Region. The President thanked the former governor for his longstanding work as head of the region.
Aman Tuleyev had been heading Kemerovo Region since 1997. On April 1, the Governor submitted to the President a request for the early termination of his term as governor. The President accepted Aman Tuleyev’s resignation and appointed Deputy Governor Sergei Tsivilev acting head of the region.
