Greetings to delegates at the Eurasian Anti-Corruption Forum

May 30, 2012

Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to delegates at the Eurasian Anti-Corruption Forum, Legal Innovations and Preventing Corruption.

The President said, in particular, in his message:

“It is particularly important today to develop international cooperation in fighting corruption and other modern threats and challenges, and it is very good to see that this cooperation is becoming closer and more constructive all the time. Interaction between the scientific and expert communities on all current theoretical and applied issues pertaining to preventing and combating corruption is an essential part of this partnership.

I hope that your forum’s work will help to develop new research and legal ideas and consolidated approaches to resolving the key tasks in this area. Chief among these tasks are introduction of stringent anti-corruption standards in national law and law enforcement practice, improving the legal mechanisms for detecting and preventing corruption risks, using modern legal technologies, and conducting public anti-corruption audits of draft laws and regulations.”

The forum takes place on May 30–31 in Moscow.
