The President has signed the Executive Order On the National Anti-Corruption Plan for 2016–2017.
Under the Executive Order, heads of federal government bodies will have to amend the plans of their respective agencies to achieve tangible results in preventing corruption and ensuring oversight in this respect by May 15, 2016, and report on their efforts by June 10. Recommendations to this effect have also been issued to heads of regions and municipalities.
The Russian Government is to submit a summary report on this issue to the Presidential Anti-Corruption Council by June 10, while Presidential Plenipotentiaries to the Federal Districts will carry out similar initiatives on a regional level.
The Supreme Court, the Higher Judges' Qualifications Board, the Judicial Council, the Accounts Chamber and high-ranking officials in the regions of Russia have also received appropriate instructions and recommendations.
