On October 1, Vladimir Putin will hold a Security Council meeting in the Kremlin to consider countering national security threats in the information sphere.
The Security Council will consider the implementation of the primary tasks set out in the National Security Strategy and the Information Security Doctrine in view of the rapid development of information and communication technologies.
The meeting agenda covers such issues as the security of information resources of governing bodies at various levels, as well as the stable functioning of the Russian segment of the Internet, in particular the elimination of any opportunity to limit access to it for citizens and organisations.
