Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order On Additional Measures to Guarantee the Rights and Interests of Minor Citizens of the Russian Federation.
The Executive Order is aimed at guaranteeing the rights and interests of minor citizens of the Russian Federation under 14 years of age, as well as harmonising the work of government bodies, agencies and organisations providing services in healthcare, education and social support, in cases where federal law requires that such services are conditioned upon the child’s Russian citizenship.
The Executive Order contains a comprehensive list of documents attesting to a child’s Russian citizenship.
The Government and senior officials of Russia’s federal constituent entities are instructed to bring their regulations in compliance with this Presidential Executive Order.
