Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Anna Kuznetsova and Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov discussed top priorities for child safety.
An agreement was reached at the meeting on cooperation at the federal and regional levels in emergency situations. Plans are in place to sign relevant documents, and to expand and complement the existing Agreement between the institution of the Commissioner for Children's Rights and the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief.
During the meeting, Anna Kuznetsova also learned about the activities of the National Crisis Management Centre at EMERCOM of Russia, which works around the clock to provide interagency coordination, operational management, emergency response, and relief efforts in case of emergencies.
