September 1, 2023

On September 1, Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova visited Sevastopol and congratulated students of the branch of the Nakhimov Naval School and the Sevastopol Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee of Russia on Knowledge Day.

Addressing the student body of the Nakhimov School, Maria Lvova-Belova emphasised that the President of Russia attaches great importance to the training of future officers. The sovereignty and well-being of our country and our future depend on them.

The ombudswoman also visited the Vladimir Istomin Sevastopol Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee of Russia, where she talked to students and teachers and noted the high quality of the school’s military-patriotic education.

The Commissioner for Children's Rights stressed that Sevastopol pays special attention to children who find themselves in a difficult life situation, and the model of psychological assistance for young people used here should be spread throughout the country. In this regard, Maria Lvova-Belova and Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev discussed the possibility of organising and holding a conference involving relevant specialists and experts, legislators, and representatives of executive authorities and socially oriented NGOs, at the Sevastopol Cadet Corps.
