The event was organised to mark the twentieth anniversary of the CIS and the fifth anniversary of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, as well as the end of the CIS Historical and Cultural Heritage Year.
More than 270 events and projects were carried out over the course of the CIS Historical and Cultural Heritage Year in 2011.
“The humanitarian sphere is an area in which the potential for cooperation between our countries is demonstrated most vividly,” Mr Naryshkin said. The Interstate Council and Interstate Fund supported the implementation of more than 350 projects in which youth were actively involved.
