Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on assuming the office of President of the Argentine Republic.
The congratulatory message reads, in part:
”It is with great satisfaction that I would like to point out that the agreements reached during our meetings in Moscow and Buenos Aires are being successfully implemented. Political contacts are increasing. Our ties in trade and investment sectors, and via scientific and cultural exchanges are expanding.
We intend to continue contributing to expanding our relations in culture, art, and education, which are a clear indication of the sincere friendship that joins our peoples.
We highly value the efficient coordination of our policy positions on crucial international issues within the UN and G20, as well as via multilateral regional bodies such as the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), the Rio Group, and the Organisation of American States (OAS).
I am convinced that by working together, guided by the Action Plan for Building Strategic Partnerships, we will continue to deepen the multifaceted ties that bind Russia and Argentina.“
