Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The state leaders paid particular attention to the situation in the Gaza Strip. In view of the armed conflict escalation that has resulted in civilian casualties, the Russian President and Turkish Prime Minister agreed to further coordinate their actions, both bilaterally and in contact with all concerned parties. Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated the need for immediate efforts to end the violence and restore peace.
The parties also exchanged views on topical issues in Russian-Turkish relations in the light of the forthcoming meeting of the countries’ High-Level Cooperation Council.
The conversation was initiated by the Turkish side.
