On Russia’s initiative, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Mr Putin congratulated Mr Erdogan on the Justice and Development Party’s victory in Turkey’s parliamentary election on June 7.
The two presidents discussed current bilateral relations, issues related to big joint projects in the energy sector, and preparations for the sixth meeting of the High Level Russian-Turkish Cooperation Council, which will take place in Kazan in the fourth quarter of 2015.
The two leaders agreed to continue their frequent personal contacts.
