President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev: Ms Otunbayeva, I'm very glad to be having this meeting with you in a bilateral format. We have just discussed the current situation in Kyrgyzstan in a multilateral format, with other CSTO heads of state. But we also have our own dimension, our bilateral relations, which have intensified recently. I hope that as a result of this joint work the problems faced by the people of Kyrgyzstan will be overcome.
Of course, a great deal remains to be done. You can rely on the assistance and support of the Russian Federation as a partner of Kyrgyzstan and as its CSTO ally.
So, let's discuss our economic and humanitarian ties.
President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva: Thank you. I am glad to be having this meeting. We discussed the crisis in Kyrgyzstan earlier today in the CSTO framework, and I must say that we felt Russia’s support throughout these difficult past four months. Now the parliamentary elections lie ahead for us. This is a very complicated period in our political development, and the overall development of Kyrgyzstan. In fact, I would also like to talk with you about how we will tackle all these challenges and prepare for the autumn and winter season.
