The Governor briefed the President on the region’s socioeconomic development in 2015.
According to the governor, the regional domestic product this year will remain at the same level with a possible increase of 0,5 percent, while the investment grew by 6 percent. New enterprises have been commissioned, including the Boguchansk Aluminium Smelter and the new power unit at Berezovskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant, while Rosatom introduced new technology for fissionable fuel production at its Mining and Chemical Combine.
The industrial innovation park was commissioned at the end of the year. New enterprises processing agricultural products were put into operation. In the social sphere, the region built an oncology centre and is currently building two perinatal centres. The governor and the President also discussed the construction of kindergartens and housing in the region.
For the Winter Universiade which Krasnoyarsk will host in 2019, 34 sports, medical and infrastructure facilities will be built. Also, the construction of a new passenger terminal at Krasnoyarsk airport is underway.
