Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Ending the Mandate of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan ahead of Term.
The President accepted Mr Khamitov’s request to step down ahead of term from office as Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Mr Putin appointed Mr Khamitov Acting Head of Bashkortostan until an elected president takes office.
