Socioeconomic situation in the republic was the subject of discussion.
Mr Khamitov told Mr Putin that, compared to last year’s figures, the industrial production index stood at 103,5 percent, while investment in fixed assets constituted 104–105 percent; the agriculture showed good performance too, with 11 large investment projects worth 60 billion rubles being implemented in the sector. In terms of demographics, natural population increase in 2014 amounted to 6,500 people with 60,000 babies born in the republic.
The Head of the Republic also told the President about the assistance Bashkiria is rendering to one of the regions in Crimea. The funds raised by the republic's residents were used to rebuild and renovate 38 facilities in that area, including residential houses, roads and kindergartens, while Bashkir agrarians helped with harvesting there by delivering 15 harvesters.
