Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Soviet Army’s Victory over the Nazi Forces in the Battle of Stalingrad.
With the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad coming up on February 2, 2013, and given the decisive part the battle played in achieving victory in the 1941–1945 Great Patriotic War, the President has approved the Government’s proposal to officially celebrate the event in 2013, and ordered an organising committee to be set up to organise the celebrations of the Soviet Army’s victory over Nazis in the battle.
The relevant instructions have been issued to the Government.
